Recently Tiffany and I went for a weekend trip to Hanoi. After having seen Ho Chi Minh City already a year earlier, I actually prefer Hanoi: not necessarily less crowded, but it definitely has a special charme, especially in the old quarter.
There were to special people I met:
1) Katja, my team mate from the time in the national board of AIESEC in Germany. She just moved to Hanoi, working for the GTZ (German Development Agency)
2) Good old Uncle Ho... at least I saw him "sleeping". Did you know that he actually passed away before the Vietnam war (or how the Vietnamese call it, the American war) was over.

Of course I also did the kind of compulsary trip to Halong Bay. A real must-do!
